In 2009 Mr Heritage visited St Veronica Community School in the Kibaale District of Uganda as part of a teacher exchange. Would anyone be interested in sponsoring Mr Heritage if he undertook a big challenge next year to raise money for St Veronica’s?
Our school and class environment.
First Monday of the holiday. Doesn’t the classroom look lonely with nobody about. What must Bullet be thinking?
Tuesday was Greek Day in Year 5. What did you all make of the day’s activities ?
This week we are saying farewell to Mounts as they move on up into Year 6. But now we have a whole new batch of learners, whose creativity will feature highly in the coming year.
Will, Amelia, Katy, Libby, Harry, Skye, Izobella, Lizzie, Louis, Alex, Cameron, Thea, Fin, Luke, Cerys, Melody, Xavi, Louisa, Maddie, Meadow, Jessica, Eve, Freddie, Abi and Fin.
Please do feel free to write comments on the different blog entries or use it to send in any interesting writing you do over the summer. If you read anything good, write about it in the Book Talk section. You will be asked for an email address to confirm your identity when you first post: Remember to ask your parents’ permission first, but only Mr Heritage has access to this information and this is never used to contact anyone or send out any unwanted mailings. We work with first names only on this blog (do read the ‘Blogging Guidelines’ tab to find out more how it operates).
Have a great holiday and we look forward to working with you all from September.
Tomorrow Mounts will spend the day with their new Year 6 teacher and a brand new class moves into Mounts.
Goodbye Emily, Molly, Jamie, Georgia, Phoebe, Sammy, Phoebe, Alfie, Luca, Grace, Penny, Alex, Olivia, Alice, Hollie, Callum, Finlay, Rowan, Angus, Nicholas, Isabelle, Alfie, Charlie, Louis, Zachary, Ollie, Bea and James. We’ll all be sad to see you go – you have all been an inspiration and your work will live on on this website.
I hope that you all continue to leave comments and interact with the blog, both over the summer and next year when there will be a whole new batch of writers and contributors. The blog page will be occasionally updated over the summer holidays, as your teacher will not be travelling all that far this year. He’s appearing in the background at the Pendley Shakespeare Festival (http://www.pendleyshakespearefestival.co.uk/) while trying to learn his lines for a musical project in October.
Tomorrow the new Mounts will be revealed…..
A while back we did some creative writing in class and Olivia was inspired to go home to write even more. Unfortunately it then sat on her teacher’s desk for a long time, but I’m more than pleased to publish it now…..sorry, Olivia!
