How we SPPIT out new paragraphs in Mounts

Mask-making Activity in Mounts

Last week as part of our international day based around Sierra Leone, the children took part in a mask-making activity. Here are some of the completed masks that Mounts made:

‘The Boy Who Lived’ by Jessica

After the Secret poem using an idea by Pie Corbett, we tried out an idea by poet James Carter to reorganise the opening words of ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ into the shape of a poem.

Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.

Welcome back

They only spent a day with us at the end of last term, but let’s all give a proper welcome today to Mounts 2012-13:

Will, Amelia, Katy, Libby, Harry, Skye, Izobella, Lizzie, Louis, Alex, Cameron, Thea, Fin, Luke, Cerys, Melody, Xavi, Louisa, Maddie, Meadow, Jessica, Evie, Freddie, Abi and Fin.

We hope to display some of their learning journey along the way in Year 5 on this web site. I can’t wait to see where our imaginations take us this year …..
